Hey all, Let's focus on SION maternity and child nutrition. They are located about 5 hours north of the children's homes in the department of Quiche. Peniel and Stephanie reach an incredible group of people, most of whom tend to live very remote. This means, that in addition of their clinic, they do a lot of off roading to find and follow up with their families. Stephanie writes that it is one of their favorite things to visit families in their homes.
One such precious family belongs to Rosa. I would love to tell you all about her, but Stephanie does so beautifully here!
This month, Peniel and Stephanie will be traveling to Canada. During this trip, they will be collecting/buying donations for SION.
"If you would like to help us stock up on medications and supplies, we are looking for:
- Baby/Kids cough syrup
- Baby/Kids multivitamins
- Baby/Kids acetaminophen and ibuprofen
- Antibiotic ointment (like polysporin)
- Iron supplements
- TUMS (or similar)
- Glucose monitor and compatible test strips
- Fetal heart rate doppler
- Amniotic fluid test strips
The last day to collect donations is August 28th. We have created an amazon wishlist (link below), so if it's easier for you to purchase online, feel free! The wishlist also includes a few specific items that are not listed here. For the medications, the brand is not important."
